need plans/design 60" recurve 1 peice
« on: November 08, 2009, 09:27:00 PM »
here is what i want to do next.  I want to build a recuve limb at a time, but once piece. i want something with flat "limb pads"  about 10 degrees canted back,  i am considering taking my birghams plans to office max, get them copied that play with that design till i can get something working.  has anyone done this, i would prefer use a tested design.  i saw a build along for a D/R done this way.  finished the thickness grinder tonight will post pictures later.
does everyone else look up when someone yells "DUCK!!"?

Russ,

I have tweaked plans a few times and can tell you that a small change can change the way the bow shoots and the weight.  What I did was find a bow that I really liked.  I was able to borrow the bow and take measurements.  I changed a few things on the design.  The first one came in a little heavy.  Since then I have been really close on weights.

good luck.
