New Xmas Bow
« on: December 12, 2009, 11:33:00 AM »
My buddy has a son who is a huge fan of Uncle Ted! Not many 20year olds rockin out to the Nuge these days I figure!
So he asked if I could make him a tribute longbow in the true Nuge style of zebra stripes that he could give his son for Xmas. Not a problem! The wenge and curly maple riser made it seem like it should have a name so the Wengo Tango is born!

I think there is going to be a pretty happy guy in town in a few weeks! Got some shield cut grey barred feathers on order to make him some arrows to complete the package too!

Since this is totally in the prototype stage, right now I only think it looks cool. Have only shot about 60 arrows through it....shoots quite good! If it holds up through further testing, then I'll have something to be proud of.
If it doesn't.....He'll be happy even if it's just a wall-hanger.....right next to the autographed poster! lol

Pretty cool!  String needs to go though.  Definately need a black and white flemish twist.  I have a friend that makes my wool silencers.  He can alternate black, white, black for you if you want.  They are the bomb and would match quite nicely.  Nice work,  Chad

That right there is awesome. I am sitting here watching Uncle Ted while looking at this awesome bow. I would like to know how you got the stripes.
