Sting Length
« on: December 27, 2009, 01:30:00 PM »
:archer:  I have a question for you Bowyers.

Does the lenght of the string make a diffrence in the poundage?

for example I have a Hoyt GM and it is a 60# Amo and when you put it on a scale it is 65@28 and 75@30 I had a Hoyt GM2 and it was only five pounds heavier then the AMO. This string seems short to me. If I put a longer string will it drop the poundage? Please let me know Thanks

No, a longer string will not effect the poundage.

A higher brace height will slightly raise draw weight but lower speed. If the brace height doesn't change there should be no difference in draw weight.
