BigJim you said you use a painting knife. Are you talking about the thin square ended knife that is used for caulking? Also do you  force the glue into your lams the same as the veneers? I'm still trying to find a way to spread epoxy that I like. Thought I had found it with a "one use" paint brush by cutting the bristles real short but before I was finished with the glue up the epoxy had started pulling bristles out of the brush and that was a pain.

I tried a "paint scraper" on my last build but went back to the "bondo squeegee". I buy the cheap 10 pack of 4 inch wide bondo squeegees and cut them to 1 3/4 inch widths. I think a painting knife is stiffer than a paint scraper?? Like Jim said I also put some force onto the squeegee pushing the glue into the lams, then go over again and build some depth to the glue, excess glue will squeeze out under the hose pressure. I have held some of Jims bows and they are finely crafted.
