Can you add cloth backing to laminated limbs.
I have an older ben pearson recurve that I would like to put cloth backing on, can it be done?
If so what do I need to do to the limbs?

Thanks.

I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. That is the same as putting on snake skins.

You'll want to sand the glass surface some to rough it up a little.

I have not used Tite bond 111 on glass. But it would probably work.
Some sort of epoxy would be more permanent. You would put a even thin coat of glue on one limb. saturate the cloth with glue before applying. Smooth out the cloth to get air bubbles etc out. Let dry.Let the edges of the cloth wider than the limbs. Use a razor knife to trim the edges then sand the edges smooth.
More glue can be added if necessary.
