Last week I went down to the Eastern Sportsman show to see all the goodies & mounts from around the world. A few guys had mentioned that Rick Ellis was in attendance. I read all the posts about Hope & Faith and decided to stop in to chat, just lookin to learn a little. Rick was swamped, so I played with some of the bows and decided to return a little later, not wanting to take the man away from serious customers. Finally got to meet Rick a little later, a nice guy who took the time to go over a few things with a newbie and answer some elementary questions. Rick asked me to pick the bow I liked the grip on the best. A quiver of arrows and down to the range we go, first three shots smackin each other. I am all of a sudden becoming a serious customer, the grip, the draw all felt nice. Rick being such a nice guy and the price compared to other customs,(the ones I've looked at) I figured what the hell!! I put my money down and am now waiting on a 3 piece takedown recurve with a Bocote handle, bamboocore limbs with a Red elm veneer . Give it sort of a brown and tan look. Just wanted to share my two cents on Striker bows. Joe
