I used to order them directly from Saunders, the shipping nearly equaled the purchase price. I always got the four footers. they are the coolest target on the market, but the price is never reasonable.

I just orderd one a few days ago should be here tomorrow....
I got mine from Lancasterarchery.com I bought the 25".
The first one was givin to me and it was like 30 yrs old when I got it,eventualy I shot out the center and would get pass thrus....So I figured if that 30 yr. old one lasted me a few months, then I need a new one....
I don't know what it is about them I just like shootin them...
I just hang them up and sry paint a dot in the middel and go for it....
My 25" with shipping was about $112.00

Mike, I had one several years ago, what i like about them, they are good for tuning arrows.
I used a compound bow on that one and it did not last as long as i would have liked. I would think one would last longer with my longbow and cedar arrows.
I might try a 30" one, it would hold down the shipping cost some.
Thanks for the link. William

Glad this came up, perhaps those who have already replied or others could help me with a related question.
I'm thinking about the Saunders matt and stand kit for the 36-48" target/stand combo. Where I live, I can't shoot outside in the yard (dang it!) and I need something for in my 3-car garage (I get about 7-8 yards-better than nothing) that will reliablly stop arrows and wheel out of the way for other activities when not in use.
Has anyone used and kept one of these matt/stands inside? If so, how did it work and hold out for daily shooting over time? If you didn't use the Saunders stand for their matt, how did you mount the matt? Is there a better target than the Saunders for this scenario that you know of? Right now I'm using a homemade, stacked cardboard type target, but it often needs to be disassembled and the cardboard recycled or replaced to prevent near passthroughs and fletch damage.
Thanks for any comments.

Cly, I had one many years ago, i used a compound bow then, i think they would last longer with a traditional bow.
I kept it outside, but covered up when not shooting,I had it hanging up, they are fun to shoot.
I shoot inside a lot my self, i use a bag target for that.I would like a matt target outside for those long range shots.
you can get a bag target that is easily to move around inside and they last good.

Thanks Osage1.
I don't have any experience with these matts. If I might ask a couple more questions, do you remember if your arrows went through and stuck out the back of the matt, and do the matts have loops or any hardware built in for hanging it? I can't tell from the pics online at the Saunders website.
Thanks again.

Curt, The one i had was a 30", it didn't take long for the arrows to penetrate the back side.
I called them and they sent me a new one, and picked up the old one
Mind had a loop at the top to hang if with.I would buy the toughenize skirt to go around the targrt if i was getting one now.
I think it would make it last longer being shot with a stick bow
You might one to look at Pacific butts, they sell a similar target, but it is square
I have wanted to try another Saunders target for awhile. i belevie with my longbow, they would hold up good and they are good for arrow tuning also.
