glass limb core

Any of you build your limbs with glass as the core, faced front and back with wood (and clear glass on the outside of that)? If so, or not, what's your opinion on this method?

The only reason I would use a material other than wood/bamboo in the center of a core would be to increase lateral stability preventing limb twist.

Glass would not serve this purpose as well as carbon since its heavier and not as stiff.
