Doc, I'm in Augusta - probably the closest of most folks.  Very active in Trad Bowhunter's of Georgia.  Let me know when you are coming down!  Steve

Steve, I sure will.  I already promised Matt & Joel a knife for the Georgia Bowhunters Banquet...little did I realize at the time that I'd be spending more time in your area.  I'm pretty excited about it.  Better than that I'm getting plenty of points from my wife since Aiken is her dream equine area   ;)

Jeff, I'm in the upstate area, near Greenville.  I do get down to Aiken with my job from time to time.  Maybe we all could get together.

Take care,

David

Tippit, if you find out they are giving away land in Aiken, get double and I'll split it with you  :D  If you come down after 3/22, plan on swinging by the house and we'll see if any of the gobblers on my place will cooperate  :readit:

Terry, hogs on ocmulgee?ssssshhhhh! Call Don...we's planin a lil get together late march. Hopefully will have Chase's bow by then and I can put him on a hog.

well, all the land I find over there leases for 30 bucks an acre...so I don't think they're selling it for nothing!

Jeff, I will find you a place to hunt...just hang in there. I'm working on a place for about 15 guys.

I'm just excited about so many guys down there Hunting.  Around Boston, people hardly know the H word

After 30 some years, I never did pick up a Boston accent.  Now I'm gonna have to start all over.  Guess my mid-west accent fits in any where though...Doc

My wife would love to move closer to the ocean. The SC Piedmont area is close to the ocean ain't it?  :bigsmyl:

Aiken's about 4 hours to Myrtle Beach and 2 1/2 to Hilton Head or Edisto.

Doc,

The wife and I are fly fishing addicts. We make pretty regular trips to SMNP and on into Eastern Tenn to fish the Wautauga and Holston, plus a ton of small streams/creeks that offer some pretty darn good trout fishing in the same area. You'll actually be closer to the Smoky's than we are,and our drive is just over 4 hours.

There's also some good fly fishing above Clemson in Northern SC/Ga......the Chattooga river for one.

Flyfishing for redfish is pretty good here.  I can help you get on'em if you get a boat down here.  You could pair it up with some sea island archery only wma's.

Varmint, I think I'd rather meet your wife now instead of you.    :saywhat:

Welcome, Doc.
One tidbit to help with the move to SC. You can say anything about anybody as long as it is followed by "bless his/her heart". example, She is fat as a hog and as ugly too, bless her heart.
Makes it OK.....Honest
I am in Simpsonville Prob couple hours away.
 Welcome again
