Worked on the tiller a little and got it bending better. I decided to go ahead and flip the tips. I am hesitant to show pics of how I do things . If you follow me in the bow building adventure you may get led to places you don't need to go. Per Berts request though here are some pics of how I flip the tips on a bow. It worked on the first one I tried and the others as well so I haven't changed the way I do it. Ya'll gotta promise not to laugh.
My jig.
I simply put the bow behind 1 nail and in front of the piece of wood held by the other nail
I heat the tip as I keep pressure on the bow. As it starts to bend I keep going till I reach the point I can insert the other nail to hold the bow in position
I let the bow set till it is cool and flip it around and flip the other one
