Stiks and Eman -

Okay - I promise I will have a bow in  shipped before July 4.  It's just that it will be bow #4.

I think I have tried so hard to make a pretty bow that I push the envelop too much.

Cedar w/ sinew and rawhide = broke.
Osage w/ paper and two really cool knots = broke
2-pice takedown out of osage backed w/ paper = broke

NOW - I am re-working the self-bow I hunted with in 2009.  I know it won't break, I just need to gussy it up a little.  Phew!

David, I've used superglue or titebond and they'll hold antler most of the time. Epoxy will hold for sure!

va, I am begining to feel the same way!

Pat, all I can say is WOW! That bow is really SWEET!
Did I ever mention that I am kinda ambidextrous when shooting stickbows?   :smileystooges:

John, I love the carp skins too. Everyone has rattler or copperhead skins on there bows but not many with carp skins...YET! Gotta get some more.
 Thanks Andy and John.
Thanks Joe. Did you look closely at the handle. It shot well for me shooting right handed and only 26" draw!

Well I took John Scifres guidance and done some more scraping. Pics to come. I think I am gonna leave it like it is and shoot it in. I think I came in about 5 pounds under but will know for sure when I shoot it in some. If so I will just pike the tips and hopefully gain it back.

I had a package on the porch today and my heart jumped a little but it wasn't my trade bow. Oh well still a few weeks to go. LOL

Joe, the handle wrap it hemp cord from the Walmart craft section. After I wrap it I saturate it with Massey finish. Makes a slip free wrap for any weather conditions. I've used it for handle wraps for a few years now.
Hey cool, your name fits right in there.

Pat I drew name's and don't need to be a weed to read the name. LOL

But I'll never tell. You will just have to patiently wait and wonder Joe. But you never know it could be like winning the lottery with a little better odds. 1/44 LOL

This is what makes this whole thing great and so much fun.

I'm going ot to scrape on my bow a little more and get her to final tiller.  I'm then doing overlays and finish and sending her off to --- ----.  Hopefully by the beginning of next week.

Kris, I owe you a lot of thanks for talking me into this bow trade. I've been working on 4 different bows since this started back in January, the first in over a year. Now I'm hooked again!
