So far so good. Just watch that you don't have to large a non bending handle area. I like not more than 8 in. Looks like you may be contemplating more.  :)  Jawge

those overlays look scary short. I'd recommend glue some new ones on, of around 1 1/2" long.

John, she's looking good so far. Watch just past that left fade. Looks like it might be bending a bit more there. Scraping at the fade might just even it out.

Got some more done on mine over the weekend.
Tuff to get a full draw picture since it's pulling 70# @ 28" I'll try and get some better ones over the weekend. I'm going to take it to the Archery Golf course and see what it can do !!

I think i'm only pulling to about 23" LOL

I hope to get mine in the mail next week, if all holds together over the weekend !

Richard, I like bows in the 45-55# range. This one is a struggle to pull back as you can tell. LOL !

Wow! I heard bad things about ash in the past, now I think I'll have to do look for some...

Is this unbacked? Could you show a picture of the grain along the back? I want to get an idea of what to shoot for in an unbacked heavyweight bow like that  :p
-How to make a bow-
Step one: Make a pile of shavings.
Step two: Shoot your new bow!

Yes this bow is unbacked, i cut the tree down and peeled the bark off. That is the back of the bow, no ring chasing.

Best picture i have of the back.
