I just pulled a bow blank out of the hot box last night. After I cleaned it up and pulled the tape off it I found what appears to be a small, single, hairline crack that wiggles its way from near the tip on one limb to the center of the riser. It's on the back of a one piece longbow with black glass. The crack is not a straight line crack like from moisture swelling and shrinking that I have seen before. It looks sort of like a lightning bolt, like an electric current type of shape that changes direction abruptly and often. It does not run off the side, just stays mainly in the middle and I can't tell if it's just a surface blem or goes all the way through. I don't have pics yet and I'm not sure it would even be seen in a pic but I will try when I get home to post one. Has anyone ever seen small squiggly cracks in glass before? I went ahead and put tip overlays on it and will finish it but dang, what a bummer. We'll see what happens.
