I haven't had the opportunity to work on my trade bow lately. I do have it almost floor tillered.

I have been working on mine, coming along, but have to go out of town for a week for work.  Oh joy. I will try to get some pics up in a day or two.

Had to go back to work this week, so didn't have much time to work on my bow. But this evening I got the overlays and the grip shaped...

I also glued the tips and shaped the form with a rasp and sanding paper...

... and strung it up.

Unfortunately it was already to dark to shot some arrows. So I have to wait until tomorrow... d:-(

Went shooting the bow today and I have to admit that I'm very pleased. Haven't measured the arrow speed, but they are going down very fast.

The bow is finished and ready for the final sanding before applying the finish. It's 62" long ( NTN ), draws 55@28 and it's for a right handed shooter ( or a left handed ?!?!? **** I don't remember... ). If the final sanding is done I guess it will be like two lbs lighter and spot on the desired draw weight.

Here are a few pics. of mine I didn't get as many as I intended.  Lams. laid out for glue up

Lams on the form the match stick just to keep the tip wedge in place.  I wonder if a guy put some black powder on the form and lit it would temper the boo, toast the belly, and cure the smooth on all at once.

Here is everything on the form and ready to go into the oven for about six hours.

I didn't get any pics of the riser glue up and the limbs coming off the form.  The riser is Honduras rosewood, and yellowheart the limbs are aboo with black glass.  Haven't done any shaping to the riser yet.

Will be out of town all next week.  I am looking forward to getting it finished up.  Thanks for looking.

I started applying the finish tonight...

Since this bow was made in Switzerland I added a little bit of Swissness...
