I normaly keep my bows unstrung, but I have a Bear Super Kodiak that I've had strung for 45 years, and it's fine.

If I am shooting a lot I will leave it strung, but when I am unable to shoot but once a week I will unstring it.

If it is hot out you may not want to leave it strung in your car. Heat and a bow are not a good mix.

Definately unstring it if its in a car and keep it out of direct sunlight...ask me how I know!
