I got them!  They look very professional, and should compliment the bow well.

Got the sight window cut this morning.  Still have to radius the shelf, and then it's grip shaping.  Where is that string?

You are MEAN Chad.
FUNNY but MEAN.
(Or does that mean it will be a forward handled string follow bow?)

I've been waiting to see how those desert camo lams would accent the zebrawood once the riser was shaped a bit. I think it's going to look neat! I was hoping they would add a little subtle color, just enough to make you look twice. Great job guys! This has been fun to watch. Mike

Bodork, I think the desert como will look great.I have never seen it used as an accent before. It gives it a inlay look.

Mike did an outstanding job on building this riser!  The glue lines are perfect.  Chad's lay-up was flawless as well.  I sure hope I can finish her as well.  I did some grip shaping this morning.  Starting to look like a bow now!  I'll get some more photos up.

Here we go!  Final sanding ahead!

Here she is with an alcohol wipe to better show the colors.

Should this one have some kind of commemorative markings on her?  Something like St Judes Bow?  Or maybe something else?

BEAUTIFUL BOW FELLAS!!   WOW         , The Alcohol Brought the Grain and Colors Right Out of that Riser!! Question: It was said Before that  Firm 1/8   Rubber  was added to the LayUp, I cant See It. Am I Blind or is it Hidden, if either of My Options are Correct, Can You Show Me Where the Rubber  IS??  Much Appreciated from a Very Rookie Bowyer!!  :archer:

I'm sure the rubber was used as a cushion against the outside of the glass during lay-up.  It's definitely not in the completed bow.

The form itself is lined with rubber.  The rubber just stays on the form to protect the form and make everything more forgiving.

Marty, whatever CHAD wants written on the bow would be fine. Chad

That's looking good! After studying the riser and stripes with the alcohol, I kind of wish I would have put the black glass on both sides of the actionwood. Of course, Chad and Marty wish I would have used almost anything except glass for the black accent. Sorry guys, but it was all I had and I thought the black really popped the kingwood. Mike

I shape risers by hand, so it was no trouble for me Mike.  I like it just the way it is.

This beauty is finished!

The last photo shows the hand crafted tab and string silencers donated by other craftsmen.

Nice finish work!!

I'm really pleased with how this whole thing turned out.  I want to thank all the floks who donated time, materials and money to make this happen.  I want to thank CHAD especially for putting his money and confidence in us to make a more than worthy bid for the kids.  I hope you like the bow and it serves you well for many years to come.  Hopefully this bow will make some meat for you this Fall.  Remember, I like pictures for my website.  Chad
