uneven surface ?
« on: July 04, 2010, 09:59:00 AM »
got a question,i just picked up a robertson bow that had a name on it,was able to get the name off and noticed this morning the area where the name was removed is now uneven, question is,how can i fix this without having to redo the whole riser, the bow is really very nice looking with the exception of this one spot.any ideas?

I would think you need to build it up with whatever finish you used. That is what was removed to get the name off anyway was the finish over it, now it needs to be leveled back out. The other thing to do would be to feather out the dip by sanding around the low spot so you can't feel it anymore then finish it again.
