Hello all,

I tried to post a Repair-a-long of the nocks on some of my wooden arrows, but had some trouble with the IMG tag's.

Instead i have the link to the Repair-a-long, comments and idéas are more than welcome! (I would like to know other ways of doing this repair!)

Dont mean to jump ahead but how do you cut the nock taper without damaging the feathers?

Hello Passthru2,

I am thinking on using a little tool that looks like a pencil sharpener - but you are right, that I might get in trouble with at least the three first arrows, as the feathers are much closer to the nock than on the other arrows!

I hope not - but I will see tomorrow, when I try to work on them some more *S* :-) ...
Kind Regards

Sounds like the only way it would be done.  Good luck.  I'll check in later.

Looks like it should work.
After glueing and sanding smooth could you just refile the nock through the new hardwood?

Hello,

Just added the second part of this Repair-a-long, and I am happy to say, that the repair was a success!

Macbow: I thought about that, but I would imagine that the amount of new wood on the sides of the nocks would be too small, and the gluepoint being too weak to stand up to the pressure of the string? (I am actually not sure about this - anyone tried it? )
Kind Regards
