Made the same offer direct a bit ago, to build one of my 1950's laminated flatbows... forward or rear riser... right or left...    I specialize in lighter weights but can get up to 45/50.   Just put me in touch with someone who's been missed.   Will have it done by Thanksgiving

You guys rock. It never ceases to amaze me with the amount of generosity from the guys/gals on this site. Sure makes a guy proud to be a traditional archer.

I sent out 4 emails today to the fellers that have not shipped yet.

I told them all the same thing. That enough was enough and they had until Friday October 22nd to either get their bow shipped or forward the bow they recieved to their recipient or to me.

I also stated that I would personally make sure that the guys waiting got a bow one way or another. I also stated that if I did not hear back from them by friday I would expect to see the bow they recieved on my doorstep very soon and I wiould offer to the guys that have not got a bow yet or if I had to get you fellers a bow to you from myself or one of these great members here that offered to build a bow that I would list their bow in the St judes auction when the time comes.

I also included my address. If they are not gonna ship a bow they darn sure aint gonna get to keep a bow. If they do not comply with one of the options given to them at this point I will post there names here and they will banned from any future bow swap.

I would like to give these 4 guys till friday to square up before any names are mentioned so please don't bring up any names until I see what's going on.

Even though it looks bad the fact of the matter is we really don't know what is going on with these fellers and I myself would like to give the benefit of the doubt cause it could be anything. Hopefully it's nothing bad for them and it all works out.

Thing do happen...   Folks get sick, etc.   I remember a couple of years back it looked like a traveling bow had either gotten lost or just been "acquired".  After about 5 months of speculation and emails, etc. it surfaced again.  The recipient had been a "guest of the state" during the interval!

A little update.

I have heard back today from two of the fellers and one will either ship the bow he recieved or finsh the bow he is building in a few weeks.

The other that I heard from has had a rash of computer problems and family illness among other things. I was assured from a good friend of his that was in the trade that he is a good honest feller and he was working on his trade today and was close.

I told him to tell his buddy to carry on (no harm no foul) and that he was welcome to join in the next if he would like.

From the looks of it I think I will only have to come up with one bow but we will wait till friday.

Also it's about two and half months till the next one starts and I will admit even with the speed bumps I'm greatly looking forward to it. Also A great thanks to all those willing to help. Some super fantastic guys here for sure.

another update.

Pokeanhope did not get back with by the deadline and is banned from any future bow swap.

I had several fellers offer to build a bow and send it to someone who did not get one and it looks like this is the only guy who disapeared off the radar.

He was supposed to ship Balding Kansan a bow and failed to come through on his end after recieving a bow. So there you have it.

I sent Kansan a PM with a list of the four or five guys that offered a bow and let him choose and has a bow being started this evening by a very genourous member here on the Gang.

I want to thank the other fellers that offered and let you know if there is ever anything I can do for you to let me know.

I will be following up on a few bows in aweek or so, If you get one in the mail let me know so I can mark it recieved.

Well I would have to say you handled this whole thing pretty spot on Kris. Considering the number of people involved, this whole thing was awesome to say the least. Maybe a clause next time can help determine those joining just to get a bow, from those who have their heart in the right place.

I been giving alot of thought to a few minor changes Fish. After the whole is said and done it looks like only one guy is gonna get banned. The couple guys are in good standing, Just had some minor problems arise and all should be settled.

Matter of fact I got a PM today saying a trade bow came in the mail today.

I received my trade bow yesterday,.It is 62" long 46@28 Mulberry backed with raw boo. Its finished with Tru Oil. Has a leather handel and cut in shelf. I shot it a bit yesterday and it has very good cast. At 15 to 20 yards it was putting an arrow where I was looking. My daughter has my camera ,when I get it back this weekend I will post some pics. Chisler did a great job on this bow.
