Is there a bit of sting on the limbs?  dont know the right term for this, but almost like a "static" tip??

i like this one, it is this years hunting bow,
this one is just a bit more shocky then it should be because i had to leave the tips 5/8" to maintain draw weight.  its brother draws 50# has 1/2 tips and has a little less shock, but does not bend as well.

Lamey, static tips don't bend they just work as levers, these tips have 6" wedges in them, they are almost static but unwind just a tiny bit at full draw the sting just touchs the limb at 6.5" brace, i am shooting it at 7.25" now,  you gota be right on top of it to tell the string is off the limb.

deathmaster, with the brace up high no, i can see a a few dots of wax on the limb so it just barley hits, its very vertically stab and well timed that helps alot

Russel, very good fit and finish. Power lams look like they are doing right. I don't know how you do the one limb at a time thing but it works for you nicely. Now for a little CC that I know you are seeking. Without a close up of the tips it's hard to tell but they appear to be very thick and could contribute to the shock in addition to the width you stated. I understand that in order to get tip wedges to do what you need them to do you only have to have enough taper in them to counter the forward taper in the working limb and then maybe another thousandth or so. This may help reduce the overall tip thickness therefor reduce tip weight induced shock. Say you have a total forward lam taper of .004 per inch, using a tip wedge taper of .005 would do the same stiffening as anything higher than that.
