Kenny, I spent a week in the San Joan Mountains of SW Colorado back in 06 with the same results. The elk hadn't come down from the high country(over 12k). None the less it was a great trip and an experience I hope to have again.
Since I never sign up for givaways I think I'll put my name in the hat just for giggles. Please sign me up!

Kenny, I leave the 18th to Salida, CO for a week. I`m getting excited. The hunt is great even without killing an elk. It`s not what you get but what you expect to get that keeps you going back. Glad you got back safe and I`ll take a chance in the draw.
