ILF riser
« on: September 23, 2010, 12:52:00 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has built an ILF wood riser, Something similar to a Trad Tech Titan or Onyx. I have seen the connection equipment at Lancaster archery. Thanks.

I tried it I even bought the trad tech bow as a model.  In the end all it did was make tuning confusing.  the limbs also hold to the riser by string force and there is no screws just a dovetail and a button.  That scared me too every time I came to full draw...  I know the design is rock solid but I just didn't trust it.  There is a bowyer making them ACX or ACS or someone like that??  The only true advantage I found is that you do not need any tools to assemble the bow in the field just a string and stringer.  There Again though, I can build a bow with limb knob bolts instead of hex head bolts so we are back on even ground again.  Infact, my bows are tuned by a couple twists of the string and some arrow fiddling so.....
