Osage branch
« on: September 29, 2010, 03:31:00 PM »
Hi guys if I can get a about 6 or 7 inch around osage branch about 4-5 feet long would the grain be too circular to make a flatbow? should I make the bow rounded? I am planning on making a recurve bow. If dealing with a branch like such what is the best design to follow grain?

Is a flatbow always more efficient than a rounded design bow?

The back of the bow must be flat correct? what is a good limb width for an osage recurve without it being a flatbow?
