Hello!
I just inherited a partially done sinew-backed osage bow. The bow came to me still tied up in it's sinewing jig. It has two courses of sinew done, but the man who started it wasn't able to finish wrapping one of the flipped tips and the 2nd course lifted off. He was a mentor to my buddy and I'd love to be able to finish it for him as a Christmas gift. How would I go about repairing this? I was tempted to soak it in warm water to remove the whole backing, but that might be too drastic! I've never done a sinew job before and this would be a great learning experience.
Thanks a lot,
~John
