BACKING / BELLY WOOD QUESTION
« on: October 06, 2010, 08:18:00 PM »
Another question, I have a Darton Ranger, it has 2 wood plies and 1 glass on the back with only glass on the belly. My wife has a Shakespear, it has wood and glass on the back and the belly ( 1 ply each ). Is there an advantage to either method. I can shoot the Shakespear better but my arrows are spined too heavy for the Darton and it doesn't group as well but still holds a fair group a 20 steps.

No difference in performance.  Just ease of lay-up.  The overall bow design has more to do with how she feels and shoots.
I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!
