Tatoo removal help
« on: October 08, 2010, 04:23:00 PM »
I just bought a 66" 40lb custom longbow. It shoots fine and looks great but has too much personal writing on it. Any thoughts on home removal or should I seek out the builder? Thanks

Try to decide if it is under the finish. If on top then a bit of solvent should wipe it free. if under the finish then a bit of sandpaper will do the job and some clear finish over the top will seal it back up. The maker or some of the refinisher on this site can also do it for you for a small fee. I just mailed a bow back to the owner today that I removed a bunch of writing from, and added some new script. Good luck and enjoy your new bow.

Thanks Chuck. I will give it a try. I'm close to buying my first custom and have been trying to settle in on a draw weight. I checked out your web site and will probably be giving you a call. Thanks for the help.
