Kenny's new bow design
« on: October 11, 2010, 02:49:00 PM »
Here is my newest bow, it is from Kenny's 58"/60" longbow form. I used an East Indian Rosewood riser, the limbs are red elm footed with curly maple.
It is 60" long and draws 35# @ 29", using 9gpp it shoots 180 fps with my poor finger release, which is very good considering the light draw weight. It draws smooth past my 29" draw and shoots with no handshock or vibration. It uses an 18" riser with a power lam extending 3" past the fades and a 6" tip wedge, along with .003 taper per inch.

I have to say that I really like the east indian rosewood that Kenny sent. Heck, I like everything that he sent.

I added a full draw photo today, it is at 29"

WOW, that's a very nice bow. Love that profile. Looks like it spits the arrows out with a good speed. I guess I have to build a new form.

Nice job Greg, that's a beautiful bow!
The shelf is on the wrong side though. There's another reason for me to change to lefty.

Greg that looks awesome with the leather handle. It is a super little bow.

Dang Kenny that's nice. Glad I bought plenty of glue cause looks like something I may have to do. It would make a great light weight bow for my grand daughters.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Teagus,
footed limbs are very simple to make. Glue everything together, then cut and sand into laminations.
I didnt miss, thats right where I was aiming
