Limb tillering
« on: October 14, 2010, 01:10:00 AM »
Questions for the guys who know:
I have some second-hand bows. Is it possible to see, at full draw or any other way, whether they were tillered for split finger or three under? If I shoot three under & the bow was crafted to be shot split finger (or vice versa), will it place too much stress on the limbs?
Thanks

You can shoot either tillered bows both ways without and issues. The timing will be a little off and may be slightly louder but will not hurt your limbs.
