Longbow for a friend (PICS)
« on: October 15, 2010, 04:05:00 PM »
I just finished this one up for a friend and I normally dont do grips like this but he said he wanted it to fit his hand only and it took a while but I got it just right for him.  The bows 58 inches and 51 pounds Tex Ebony riser and stained Zebras with red elm cores compliments of KennyM.  overlays are chechen and Tex Ebony horn tips and otterballs and otter rest.  The bow is dead silent and dead in the hand as well.

pretty sweet shawn.  I have a t/d with a texas ebony riser made by Ibex, absolutely beatimus wood.  you should see the price they charge for it in dallas, i could put a kid through college for that.  Why no full draw pic, i love the profile of that shorty longbow. i've got to try the design.  I wont be spending much time hunting since i already took one this year.  I think its time for some prototyping.  Great bow!!!  Maybe my favorite of all the ones you've posted.

Sweet looking bow right there. The recipient has one heck of a good friend to make a gift like that. Thank you for sharing the pictures with us.

Sulfer I'll send you a PM on the "Green screen".   I saw your thread about your buck awesome.   Tex eb is very pricey I have enough left to make a saddle or a accent strip and that's it. Rubydog doesn't have any left but I'm on the list.  Bob doesn't have any neither I talked to him too asking if he would sacrifice a piece.  I'm headed to Nebraska and then Texas so hopefully I can fill the freezer.

Shawn.
