BBI ???

After the season I want to try and build me one of the primative weapons and was wondering if anyone has tried the one from Dale over at 3rivers? the R/D one with the cherry and maple grip. After seeing the sunburst desings I want to make one for me. If not then whose are you guys using or are you grinding and glueing yourselves.
Thanks for any info
Shawn

Shawn I built a boo backed Jatoba for the swap. I tapered my boo slat on an edger and tapered my blank a little. I put in a powwer lam and glued it all up with TB3 and about 3" of refex and started tillering. Turned out pretty good. My next boo backed is gonna either be osage or a tri lam.
I ended up with the bow you built for the swap. Super nice TD. I shot a little bit but had to put it up and commit to one bow for the season. I let a real good friend of mine shoot it and he was a natural but could not afford to get into trad so ended up with a real sweet shooter and the whole setup and I got him converted. At least I'll get to shoot it from time to time. He absolutley loves it and is hooked.

Contact David Knight(primalneedarchery). David sells boo backed ipe and boo backed osage glue up in mild R/D, medium R/D and heavy R/D. Very little tillering is needed to get the glue-up to a great shooting bow.

Thanks for the info. That was the first takedown I ever built I can tell you they have improved a bunch. That stack was way to thick on that design bit I'm getting her dialed in now.
Do you have a thread on this particular bow build?

I posted some stuff in the original bow swap thread on it but can't remember how extensive it was.
That TD was a sweet shooter and if they are getting better I can only imagine how they shoot now.
Pat is right on about David. He is a great guy to deal with and very honest and helpful.
