Finishing this one up...
« on: November 22, 2010, 01:35:00 AM »
I made this "Protégé Longbow" (Diamondback) for my mentor, Gary Sentman. It only has 1 coat of finish on it at this time (but I have already shot it and am very pleased with the results if I may say so).

It is 64" AMO, 57#@28" draw. Riser is cocobolo with phenolic. Limbs are (from back to belly) western diamondback, black s-glass, carbon, 2 lams of tempered bamboo, 1 lam of edge grain red elm, and then clear glass on the belly.

I still need to complete the finish and put the elk hide grip and arrow rest on it.  Thanks for looking.

Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

That really is a pretty bow.  Nicely done.  I'm sure you're mentor will be proud.
