draw weight ?
« on: November 29, 2010, 10:09:00 PM »
I want to try and build a bow. Iam slowly buying the material. But my question is how do you detrmine how many laminations it will take to make weight. My thought is three piece.Long bow 62 inch limbs..(2).050 clear glass, (2).030 lambs. But dont know how many tapered lambs to reach 55-60 lbs at 28inch draw.riser length 16 inch. I have not done this before so any ideas/help would be appreciated.Oh yea how do you figure what brace should be? Iam sure I will have tons of questions as this goes along. Thanks critter

Check out Binghams on line or swissbow.com.  Both have lam charts for you to base it off of.
God gave you hands, use them
