Just signed up recently, & haven't hardly posted, but I've been on here reading & learning from y'all almost everyday for several months.  Had a blast reading through the thread from 2010.  I'd be honored to be included this coming year.

I'll make a wooden or wood/ bamboo composite bow, & hopefully some arrows to match.

I shoot RH, 50-60# @ 28".

Thanks for your time & devotion to this, Stiks!

Kelly ain't no minion. He just offered a helping hand because he's not able to build a bow at the time and wanted to be involved.

Believe me I know the work he's doing behind the scenes and it is tedious. I got a little something up my sleeve for him though cause I know the part he's doing is alot of foot work.

I'm sitting in South Africa, so I have no idea whether or not the postage migh be a bit much for some of the guys? If not, I would love to join the trade  :)  Otherwise I'll just watch with envy again... ;)

I can make a pretty decent glass bow.

I shoot 50-60# @ 28" RH

PS. I know this is a "luck of the draw thingy" But I would LOVE an osage bow with a bit of character. We don't get that kinda wood here at all.

Johan,

Shipping actually should only be around 45$ give or take. I shipped a bow to Switzerland last year and although it was a bit more than to ship one here in the states it was not not terrible. I shipped it via the USPS and it was there in about six days or so.

As far as I am concerned you are good to get in. I might ba able to pull some strings LOL and make sure you get a good Osage bow sent your way. There are a one or two guy's here that specialize in that sort of thing

Ok I'm in too.
I will be making an Osage selfbow. I'm actually working on my 4th one right now and it's going to be a take down longbow with Osage/Rosewood riser and it's going to be short. That's about all I've decided so far, but don't count on that being the one that gets traded.....it's an experiment in progress. At any rate mine will be made from  Osage of the longbow variety.

I could really use a short glass bow for using in a blind, but I would enjoy anything that I get. My Bear Grizzly is 56" amo, so something in the 48" to 52" range would be awesome, but it doesn't have to be a recurve.
I've always wanted to try one of those R/D longbows....that would be sweet!
Anywhere around the 48# to 53# at 28" Right Hand would work great!

This is gonna be fun!

Kelly - I'll PM you my address......thanks to you and all the guys putting this thing together!

You just double clik on say my name and my profile pops up and in the upper right corner is a Hyper link to open or send a Private Message (PM). We dont need you posting your address on here for God only knows who to get. So you send it to me via PM I put it in my data and send it to your bow maker so they send you your bow.

hova, I have no idea how short a trad bow should/could/would be for using in a climbing stand.  All I know for sure is that I missed my first shot this fall because the lower limb of my 67" n-t-n hickory slapped the upper portion of my stand...Crap!
I "pound the ground" too, now. LOL.
