lol. sounds good.

just re-read some of this , and i wonder if there isnt a post carrier meeting going on where these guys are like , ok...something is going on here...

think about it. all of us im sure get a percentage of things online or shipped to them , so we have random stuff brought to the house all the time from all over the country . now all of a sudden you got a bow coming in or going out , then you got a different odd package coming or going.

my mailman thinks im insane. 70% of my deliveries are from hong kong...
ain't got no gas in it...mmmhmmm...

Some lucky guys and pretty bows being built...Well I got to shoot about 50 shots through mine Friday evening and Saturday. Got it all slicked up and put a couple coats of sealer on it last night and thought I'd get to do more today but got called out at work.

Yay!  Someone besides me...    I finished a new one for myself yesterday and when I started on the riser, just kept going, couldn't bring myself to put a shelf on it.  Can't say I've regretted the ones I've done, but I sure do like shooting without.

If it holds together long enough for finish and some more shooting here is my trade bow for...someone.

It still needs a little more sanding and finish and alot more shooting before its ready to send off. Hope it stays together

I know that feeling longbowhntr. I just had my 4th in a row pop on me. Now it feels like every time I draw the string while tillering my heart skips a beat.

She is a beauty btw. Great work on that one.

Nice selfbow, longbow. Keeping fingers crossed!

OK, guys, no shelf. Hope ****** likes that idea.
Yesterday I got the tips moving about 4 inches with a long string. Using the gizmo helped get the limbs bending pretty evenly.
Now I need to make a string, or I could use one from one of my other attempts, and get started tillering in earnest.
I'll try to get pics up in a day or two.

Shaped the limbs today. Maybe I can string her up tomorrow.

Sorry for the blurry pics, but you get an idea how it looks. Unfortunately I'm going to be away the next four days, so no more work done this week... :-(

Sigh, all you guys with your pretty bows are getting to me.  Ended up scrapping another bow, glue up wasn't to standard.  Although my standards are higher as it wont be my bow, its scrap all the same. Gotta wait to finish the thickness sander as I'm out of backings.  Also ran out of the core wood I was using, so gonna give canarywood a shot.. its a bit of an experiment ***** hope you'll like it!

Well flooding and raining like crazy here is slowing things up but we just finished track season so now my time after school is considerably more free.  Will be marking and cutting bamboo this week and getting other pieces together to make a run at this boo backed ipe glue up this weekend.  I will DEFINITELY post pics along the way on this one.
I humbly follow in the learned footsteps of those who precede me.
