Dang you guys knockin out some really fine lookers. I had a little tough luck with my last coat of sealer....it's been really hot and windy here and dusty. I had to peal, sand and everything in between but I got it all off and resealed. Now a new string and a few more shots and it's outta here.

good lookin bows. I'm glad I got mine done already. I got cut off today while bike riding and hurt my shoulder and wrist so I may be out of bow building for a bit. It could have been worse though. I've got a month to get healthy before MOJAM.

I'm starting to think we might have some late bloomers and procrastinators here. The pages will be flying with posts this month so hold on tight!

Got my tip overlays glued up.... just trying to find time to get back in the shop to get them shaped.  My weight might be a little shy so it may get piked (hope not...).  This has to be the one since there is no time left to start another!  Hopefully I'll have a finished bow by the end of this weekend.  Wifey is busy all weekend so the kids and I might get some shop time after all.  ;)

What is the deadline for mailing? I have mine almost ready to go but just hit panic because I seem to remember it being in June?

#4 The time frame for the build will be about 6 months and the bow you built should if anyway possible be shot in. Bows need to finished and shipped by July 9th

Thanks guys,
Stan, if it's a glue up I would not try heat treating. It would most liky delam. How far underweight? If it's within ten pounds I would not be disapointed but some might I guess. I have some that are lighter that I shoot when my shoulder flares up and I know several others do the same thing.

Keenan, its only 3# under. And it does have the hickory glued on, I was wondering about the effect on the lamination.

Finished the shape of the riser tonight. As far as I know XYZ has bigger hands than I, so I made the grip a bit bulkier than usual. Hope ******* ******* likes it.

That's how it looks so far...

Together with his little brother the recurve...

Next thing to do are the tips and I'm probabely going o add underlays at the tips to give the bow even more zip. I should be ready to ship by the end of next week... d:-D
