Diamondback59,
Just let me know if the ship date falls through. I Marked you as shipping on Monday. we are moving now.
You have a 8% chance that a bow will hit your door step by next week as of right now.

Very nice job, Caleb. She's a beauty !

Mine came out a little light, so I had to short it down from 64" to 60". But I like it much better this way. Now she's short and agile...

Tomorrow I'm going to glue the tips and the I can tiller it to the desired draw weigth.

I have a red oak bow I have been tillering for %$##$ . It was naturaly reflex/deflex about an inch or so. I have paper backed it with cherry tip overlays. It sure acts like it's going to be a shooter. I should have it tillerd by tonight and finished up this week. I haven't been taking pics because my daughter took my camera on her summer vacation.
I have been trying to make a sinew backed juniper bow for this tade bow but have failed so far, more so in my wood selection than in the making part. I have one more ruffed stave of juniper but I wanted to have one bow completed with the time ticking away so quick.

Twitch you have a little time but it is tic tic ticing away lol.
Not bad odds and they go up as more bows get shipped but will go down as they find their way to where ever they are going.

Was just told another one was shipped. So your odds just go better. So *****, **********, ***********, *******, ********, ***********, ********* and ******** yall need to start watching the mail. I am tracking 6 en-route and 2 ready to ship. So there is a 12% chance that one of these bows is yours.

Ok folks, today I sanded the underlays until they blend nice and smooth into the limbs. I checked the draw weigth and indeed the bow picked up 3-5 lbs but towards the end of the draw it feels smoother and much nicer.

Compared to the picture of the full draw I posted earlier one can clearly see that the string angle is smaller than before.

After that it's time for the tips...

there are some great looking bows being turned out on here, the only problem is none of them have ended up on my front porch. i myself have been a slacker, well not so much a slacker, i just hit a major roadblock when it comes to bow building with the birth of my first child back in march

who knew being a dad would be so time consuming? the good news is i am finally getting to start on my trade bow and i shouldn't have a problem making the deadline. i'll get some pics of it up this weekend
