Finally got some time to shoot some arrows tonight and man nothin reminds you more of why you build bows than when you get to zip those first few arrows through a new bow.

Final coat of Tru oil went on this morning.  Just got done twisting up a new string and put fur silencers on.  Shot a few dozen arrows off the knuckle and was grouping pretty well.  I think I have brace height dialed in.  Should have the floppy rest and grip leather on this weekend and hopefully will ship Monday!!  :)

WOW,,,, A tube showed up on our pork yesterday. Had to wait for the little woman to get home to open her suprize  :bigsmyl:  Her jaw dropped as I explained that the trade I made was to be for her.  :bigsmyl:   Mark S. made an incredible Bamboo backed osage long bow. We will get some pics up later today. Lulyn and I both thank you very much Mark. I am more then impressed with your work skills as a bowyer!

Keenan: I forgot that you had your trade bow made for her.  It's like a double whammy.  You get to make someone's day with the bow you craft.  Then you get to make your wife's day by handing her the one you should have received.  That is awesome and can't wait to see pictures.

On another note I was excited to come home from work yesterday because my wife said there was something at the front door... I was thinking bow    :knothead:

The mail man came to my door with a long package. I can hardly type this because I am so excited. It is so beautiful words can't describe it so I will let the pictures do the talking. I am so thankful for the gift. Thank you Lee.

The bow is exactly what I was hoping for!   :D

I have not had a chance to shoot it yet but can tell its gonna be a sweet shooter.  I'll report back when I do.

Thank you so much to formerbutcher and everyone who helped put this on!   :clapper:

Can't wait to take my new bow Hog Hunting!

Thanks again!

Tenbrook, that looks really cool. Glad to see I'm not the only one getting going late in the proceedings. Got to get away from the computer and do some shaving to get mine down to floor tiller.

Ranger you lucky ol'dog!

 Nice stick right there.

Got mine pretty well tillered. I'll be shooting her on sunday. Ended up gluing an osage lam on the belly and got quite a bit of weight back. Still might have to pike it a little but we'll see.

Seeing all everybody recieve there bows is almost as much fun as watching my kids on Christmas morning. My favorite part of this whole thing is seeing peoples reaction when they get a long package on the porch and pull out their new bow.    :bigsmyl: .
