Since I have been taking so many pics I decided to start my own thread showing the process of how I do some of this stuff.
Keep it pure Kris. Make a selfbow! d;^)

Now come on Pat, nothing wrong with BBO Bows:) Different strokes for different folks. It's all wood Dude:) Maybe real selfbows should not have recurve tips heated into them either, they could throw up a splinter:) LOL

Did a little bit of rasping and scraping before teaching some students about Jesus.  I think I'm getting some ideas about what I'm going to do.  Definitely like how one of the staves is looking snakey and I haven't even heat treated er yet.  Almost centershot without the heat.  Not sure if it will be the trade bow yet or not.

I've got another stave that has a clean back.  No pin knots.  That one I might recurve the tips.  At least I can say I have a few options at the moment.

Maybe I'll get a bow built between getting ready for my baby boy and work.
