1st pic showing the reflex. Reflex was glued in with the bamboo and it still had a smidgen before the horn. I put some back in with the horn glue up.

Last pic is an attempt to show the gaps in the glue line.

Ok, so I mixed up some more Urac to fill in some voids in the glue line and while I was doing that I decided to use a stanley knife blade to push some of the urac up into the loose spot.

It's clamped down now. Have to just wait and see.

Holding her still to get a good even coat on was the hard part. Wonder how she will react when a take the steel wool to her to smooth it put.

This swap has been pretty amazing, so many nice bows being traded around. Fun thing to participate in. Hope my swapper likes it.

Bowfisher, I can't imagine anyone not being happy with that one, she's a real beauty!!!!

Bona, slow and steady wins the race, just keep on doing what you've been doing.  Just a thought, if the bow is still a little over the intended draw weight would narrowing the limbs a little help your glue line dilema at all?  Just thinking out loud....Dan

I agree with glass... whattya waitin for snakebit!?

Looks like my linseed oil is finally about dried. I had to string her up and shoot her again. I got my son to snap a pic while bare shafting in the garage a bit before I put her away again. I think I see some positive tiller, but I also had it canted a bit of course. What does the gang think? Excuse the background, not all pics are high budget!

Really soon Ruddy! I'm hoping to have her tung oiled up over the next couple of nights. Then pics before the weekend, then taking her up to a shoot mid-state, then back and shipped out early next week.

Of course, I HOPE that's how it all goes down.

Lam not to lam, self not a self I have not seen a bow here That I would not be pround to call my own. Be it a board, sapling, osage, white wood, lam, or glass. I would like to get the self bows down but a glass bow would be cool to make just because of all the other wood that become avalible. Snake get to work and post pics so the gang can help you out. can't wait to see the last bow shipped. Only becuase I want to see them all.

I will ship this as soon as I can, if I can ever quit shooting it.

I hope the owner likes it.

It is a hand felled, hand tooled, osage blacksnake skinned selfbow 62"" 62# @ 28" - Whitetail antler tips with a stringer groove, leather handle wrap with a whitetail antler shelf, covered with a Southern Ohio roadkill blacksnake skin and about 10 coats of wipe-one poly. And,,, a hand twisted dacron B-50 string with mink fur silencers.
