Hey Scott glad you like it. I know you have had to wait a long time since you got yours sent out. Let me know how she shoots for you. Came in a little lighter than you had asked for, so I hope it works well for you. Thanks for the comment on the tips, first time I have done them like that.

Well that is another one down, and I know that another one was shipped.
So that brings us to 78% complete. 65 bows received and 15 more to go.

I found my red silk and tried that and you were right Pat, it does look better than the heavier string.

Well, got my new recipient and survived my finals today.  Guess that means its time to finish up my bow and get it out the door.  Should go out round Saturday, but pictures should come long before that.  If you already know I'm the one making your bow, send me a pm and let me get to know ya some more.

No worries, I can understand that perfectly.  I just hope my bow turns out to be just right for all the suspense they've endured.

I think you're right, Kelly. Trying to figure out who might have your name is a big part of the trade. Makes it all worthwhile.  :D

I sent Kelly a PM.  My recipients bow will be sent out on the 19th with my other delinquent bow.  I understand the ban and don't harbor any bad feelings on that.  I have a track record of being good for my debts through trades and I can assure you my recipient will get his bow.

My apologies for being a downer on the trade.

P.S.
I'm guessing that I am one of the folks who has had a hold put on the shipment of his bow because I never receieved a bow either.

Almost struck blood today with the bow I received!  Went grouse hunting today and flushed a covey of around 10 birds (biggest I have seen in years!).  My jack russell terrier went nuts when the birds started flushing.  :)   I was only able to get a shot off on one that I found nearby but I hit more branch than bird with the Snaro tip I was using.  :(   The bird flew off to live another day...  I was hoping to have pics with some "first blood" bragging rights, but I'll have to wait for another day.

Ak,
I if you want spruce hens and an up hill hike, FT Rich, up on arctic valley side but across ship creek  no one goes on that side hardly ever. I have jumped big coveys there. They act completely different too. I was surprised the were more like big quail. They did not hit the first tree they left the area in a hurry when me and my lab came upon them. It was a hard hunt with snow and up that mountain side. Never got a bird that day so I went after the tame ones on the lower part where they were more use to humans and would not fly far.  :)

Ak, I almost struck blood this morning with last years trade bow. Opening morning of squirrel season here. Fox squirrel was all laid out on an oak branch snack'n on something. I didn't have flu-flus with me but I took a chance on losing an arrow and took the shot. Missed! But close! He was then upside down on the side of the tree. Do I risk breaking an arrow? What the heck. Missed again! But again, close! And a broken arrow. He evaporated at the point. That was my only shots. I need to make some more squirrel arrows.

it looked to be bout 6ft or so, so i knew it wasn't arrows. upon further inspection i confirmed that it was indeed a bow, and it was from san antonio,tx, and was made by  fellow tg'er juan menchaca. it's a r/d osage self bow with buffalo horn tips. it's a very smooth, fast bow, and a pleasure to shoot. in the past i've not been able to shoot self bows very well, but this one is different. it shoots right where i'm looking. i got three weeks to practice with her till deer season comes in, so hopefully i'll have her dialed in by then. thanks a million juan. i'll get some pics on here as soon as i get my camera back from my wife.
