Wow, that has a nice look to it.  I'm sure your recipient will find it worth the "weight".

You'll need to resize those pics I think though, before they get taken down.

Well done.

Photos of bow I shipped last week to Cuban Missile -
Ouch!!  Just logged on to post some photos and read Cuban Missile's post from 9/12 that there is a crack on upper limb.  If it is a compression fracture/crack you can't do anything about it... and it's junk.  I'm just sick about that.  I told KellyG it was the nicest bow I ever made.  I don't even shoot Right handed and I still shot it well.  I know I am bragging (all for not!!) but jeez I thought that was a great bow.
If that "crack" gets worse or bow loses cast I will send you a new one.
I already loaded pics on photobucket... so I'm still going to put em on here...  been a long time - see if I can still do this.

OK, that was easy, just a little on the small side.
Here's the rest of them:

It is still one sweet bow. I hope it is nothing seriously wrong with it. I would find a way to save that one. If I had to do a belly lam.

I'm thinking I will have to try putting a belly lam on it when I can get around to it, but my plate is full right now.

Tiller looks good to me, except for the area right by the fade on the right limb. Looks like it might be bending too much right at the fade. Of course it might just be the angle of the photo.

Finally... here are some pictures of the beautiful bow that I got from Soopernate.  I got this bow in the mail, on time, on July 5, but didn't feel right getting to know her until I got my bow shipped.  This is a beautiful SHOOTER bow!!

This shows the grain, sorry the pics are formatted a little small - the "options" option doesn't show up on PhotoBucket the way it used to.

Got home this evening and the wife told me that there was a package in the garage, it was is fine looking bow from   Inuumarue!  The bow looks better in person then in the  posted pictures and I am looking forward to shooting  it sometime next week.  We had guests for dinner tonight and my foot might finally be good enough to hobble after the elk this weekend before I have the chance to put it through the paces.

Adam, the tips are exceptional.....You done good!!
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Response to OSAGETREE:

You asked:  Chisler seriously, did you count the rings on that whooper?

Ya, 86 rings.  A huge tree growing in yard in a real nice residential area in suburban Pittsburgh.  There is actually a street near here called Osage - because it used to be lined by osage.  Hardly anyone around here even knows what it is - those that know it as anything call them monkeyball trees.
This tree was dying and the owner told me about it so I was able to get the best part of it, which happened to be the biggest part.  None of the limbs were any good.  I had these 8' x 32-34" logs milled - mostly into 2x6" boards, but some bigger stuff too.  Seriously a lifetime supply for several bowyers - not for self bows, but great stuff for BBO's.

I had the same experance last year when the neighbors Osage fell over, 90+ rings on it. I got it cut into boards also - good for glueups.

Man I hated to let that stick go...my first and so far ONLY osage stave. Alan I may have to get you to send me a couple osage slats so I can build me a new BBO.  Glad you like it buddy. Good hunting to ya this year.

Great looking bows.  Only a few left to get theirs.  Hopefully someone will draw blood soon with a trade bow.  I want to see some meat in the freezer!

That tree is an eye looker for sure!  Nothing that big anywhere I've been.

Guess my recipient doesn't really have time to say how he feels about the bow and arrows I sent him. So at this point I i'll just say: Great trade gang, and I hope next year's goes smoother for some of us who had a hard time with this year's trade. Cheers, and good luck in the woods this fall.

Ok we have 5 people awaiting bows, that brings us to 91.57% complete. Nice bows Chisler and Walt, I hope both of you get lots of enjoyment out of them.

Lets see some movement on these other bows.
