actually off early today and home all day tomorrow. looking for some leather for the handle wrap on the swap bow , then she should be out monday at noon.

so far i havent had luck finding any decent leather strap to wrap the handle with , so im stopping at a couple hobby/craft stores and a couple thrift stores... if i cant find any leather , i may use a  colored grip...we'll see...

on the bright side , everyone should be just about ready to start the new swap. anyone else sitting this year out?

sooper , i remember your thank you , i was impressed.

Just back from a week of Texas hunting and there was a bow waiting for me! Phil was unable to finish a trade bow so he sent me the one he received. Made by Samuel Haldeman. Looks good! Will post pics and report on shooting soon...

Yeah I think Phil had some personal issues come up with a death in the family or something of the sorts.

We'll get him marked off the list Shaun and hope all is good or getting better for him.

You might be right Nat but at least he keeps posting with updates and is staying optimistic.

I'm still assuming no news is good news here... With our customs and postal people being as "fast and efficient" as they are its very difficult to decide when would be a good time to get worried.
Living in Africa might be great for hunting but it sucks in many other respects.

soop , its cool , you didnt offend me in the least.i actually chuckled...the wife said the same thing the other night...

i have to figure out where i put the string... if i dont have it found by tomorrow im twisting one up , and making sure the tiller and everything is still ok. i had to do a bunch of sanding on the back and handle , but it came out good. money ended up being really tight this week , so i had to hold off picking up anything for the grip...

im handling the handle issue (lol) friday , then shooting it saturday and sunday to make sure everthing is good , then she's outta here monday first thing in the am.

i havent figured out a name for her yet...i need to test the spray clear i have with tru oil base and see which ink/pigment/paint wont get eaten up...
