Maybe HE is lost in the sock drawer now.

I ran out of beer....off to the store to buy some more.

Hey, did you guys see the thread from Kelly on the PowWow. Looks like he did alright with that osage bow he was building in the sand box.

OMG...do you know what JUST occurred to me?

I do not own a single bow I have built.  My son is shooting a bamboo backed maple one that I built and gave to him, several have gone out on trades and swaps, one glass one got sold to a guy in Mississippi and a few have been sold/ given to friends as birthday presents...I suppose I should take the hint from KellyG and some of those guys and build MYSELF one....maybe thats why I havent collected a deer with my equipment yet.  NO MOJO.

I hope Hova is ok, haven't seen a post in a while. The bow, well it's just a bow. Sure we would like to see it sent, but here's hoping all is well with Hova and his family.

I had the same thoughts, Roy. I even did a quick search of the local papers to see if his named popped up, nothing. So hopefully he is just busy with life and will be back with us soon, with photo's, tracking numbers, plans for next bow and combination to the lock on the sock draw.
Hey if we all send him socks for christmas maybe it will be too full to loose anything in.  :)
Stick with it Hova.

I cannot wait to see this final stick and the accompanying hero shot.  I am assuming that this is the final bow since Hova disappeared???

PS...I drank up all that Raspberry Shock Top and was telling Roy that my wifey, after watching me stress out over this fly rod I was building my friend, brought me home a pint of Capn Morgan and a six pack of pepsi..life is good again even though I am still getting some tiny air bubbles in my finish...urgh!!!

I got the long white tube today from DVSHunter and inside was a very well made osage selfbow.  Backed only with thin air.  I shot it a few times and the arrows went right next to one another at 20 yards.  Very shootable and well made.  58" long, 50# @ 25" (that's all I drew it today, woke up with a sore arm, I'm thinking close to 60# @ 28" it's not marked, but I don't need it to be.) Great craftsmanship and I've always wanted an osage orange self bow.

Congratulations on a fine bow. Your original bowyer vanished on us and DVS stepped up to pick up his slack.

This is not the last bow we still have a bowyer who does not have a bow. One more and we are 100%

That is really a great looking bow thanks DVS for stepping up.

Ohhhhhhh momma that is a nice one. Perhaps if our missing builder does not step up we could all get together and get him hooked up.  I know I have so many bows that I would gladly forward the one I received in order to put a bow in the other guys hands.  I might need a little help with shipping costs but have no qualms about helping a feller who needs a bow.
