Wellp, I got home today for break to a tube in my bedroom... I opened it up, and I'm speechless. Pictures to follow soon.

Are you kidding me! We have been waiting almost six months to see this bow and you post without pictures!

Good to finally see (well at least hear for now) this thing close.

I keep thinking about that sweet shooting osage self bow that Soopernate built for me in the recent 2011 TG Bow Swap.  I posted the story and photos on Pow Wow on a thread I called "Ohio trad hunt" but I probably should have posted a picture here also.  Here it is - the result of the last Bow Swap!  Doesn't get any better than this.

Alan,
Congratulations on a fine animal with a great looking bow. Either Nate had help shooting it in or he really can pull a real bow. I think DV and Roy might have been selling old nNate a little short.  :)

The hard part was that I am not amblideckstreeus...ambidextorlus...well I am right handed and Alan is left. So I just shot it off his wrong side.  I bought a new six pack of Raspberry Ale last night at the store....ready for BOW SWAP 2012

Nate, I think I see a pattern developing with these raspberry brews.  Might have to give one a try sometime, just to see what all the fuss is about.  All brew talk aside, that is a sweet looking bow and there is no doubt that it works.  Congrats Chisler!!!!!Dan

Congrats Alan, it's awesome that someone made serious meat out of this year's swap!

That is great to see, there was a thread on her to post Hero pics in, but I think Semo got a turkey with his and now this fine buck. These are the only two I have heard of from the swap.

well, here she is. I believe this to be the belle of the ball. Silvershooter built this beauty.

Zebrawood, maple, and ebony. Limbs are maple core, zebrawood veneers, and bo-tuff. The tips are phenolic and bison horn. I can't believe what I've got in front of me. In the letter, the only requirement is that I harvest something with this bow, and I fully intend to. My first ever deer hunting season this past fall yielded nothing, but I'm not discouraged. I enjoyed every minute of it. I believe this trade bow will prove great for turkey in the spring... Maybe I'll try that. If not, I hope to take a deer with it next year.

Long story short: I don't know what to say; it's beautiful. Silvershooter, your work is fantastic.

Thats a sweet bow john. Good things come to those who wait. Also a nod to the bowyer. Love the wood choices and super clean, sleek look.

I think we have a winner!!!

Now can we archive this thread and get started on the next one. Maybe we will hit 200 pages on that one.

Tony,
I'm a thinking that we just keep this thread going and see if we can eventually catch the Hill bow thread on Pow Wow for the number of posts.    :D
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Man I have had PIC of that thing for sometime now. It was all I could do to keep from posting them. I just did not want to ruin it of ya. I had to clean out my key board to keep the drool from messing up my key board.

I swear just when you think man no bow can top this on or that one one comes along that is just as good. In this case I know there are none that can top it for it is the last on this year.

Great Job now lets get ready for the next one.

Wow, that's awesome.

The hero shot made me go get out the great osage stick that H8nonCubs sent me.  I'd put it aside while I concentrated on one bow for the season. But now I'm thinking I concentrated on the wrong bow.

This swap has been great.  I don't think we'll ever catch the Hill thread though.  Time to concentrate on 2012 now!

RASPBERRY ALE ALL AROUND.  Call this swap FINALLY finished.  Oh yeah I had one last night while soaking in a hot tub.  It was awesome.

Oh yeah...congratulations John. This group DEFINITELY saved the best for last.  I think 80 plus other guys just turned a slight shade of green over that bow.  You deserve it my friend...MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS...now bring on 2012.
