Fish, the bow I built last year was a lefty too plus draw length to 30". I tillered it out to 30" on the tiller tree, exercised it a lot, shot it 100+ times but only to 26". When I sent it to OsageTree I made sure he knew it hadn't been shot out at full draw so asked him to work it out to his draw slowly like he was finishing it out himself.
If you can get the string centered, a properly spined arrow will shoot well from either side.

I need some bamboo.  I've got about a month and a half before snake skin season  ;)  and then I'll be set.

Here are some pics of the riser woods to be used in my trade bow- birdseye maple and brizilan ebony.

Glued up a pair of risers- one has been used already the trade bow will get the other one.

How does the ebony look under a finish, does it stay brown or does it go darker? I sprayed the last coat of epoxy on my trade bow today. In a couple hours I'll look it over and see if it's ok, cant ship a bow with a drip.
I didnt miss, thats right where I was aiming

It takes a while after cutting and sanding for it to get dark again but it does- it doesn't turn black but it gets pretty close.

Well it's finished, again.
I couldn't find any wenge so I used East Indian Rosewood and zebra for the riser with maple cores and quilted maple veneer for the limbs. There are photos on page 22 of brace and full draw.

The handle looks pretty good. How about the rest of the bow? Can we see an unbraced, braced and full draw pic?
