Greg and Trux,

All these posts got me motivated last week:
I built a glass bow and finished sanding it out on Saturday, so it is ready for the final finish (along with two others), got a BBI glued up and started on the tillering tree, and several Osage selfbows through the floor tiller stage. I am limited on space so I usually wait until there are five or six finished bows before setting up the take down spray booth and then spray them all at the same time.

My Bow Build recipient did not specify what type of bow he prefers so I am making three different types, Glass R/D, BBI, and Osage selfbow, and will let him choose.

Wow nice work guys, I have to finish a bow for a friend and do a couple more projects before I can start my trade bow. Now that my sons basketball season is over I'll have more time to get caught up, that is if it ever quits snowing!

Wow you guys have been busy..Very nice bows all of them. After 3 weeks of no time off I got lucky and got this weekend off and moved some stuff in the new shop.....Hope I can get started on mine here pretty quick.

Well, I managed to get distracted working on my 4yo son's little 50cc 4-wheeler. It was his first time riding solo on it today and he figured out how to do donuts in about 10 seconds. It was fun to hear him giggling while he is spinning circles on the ice in our cul de sac.

On another note.... I managed to trade my 9" bandsaw to my father in law for his 12"! He wanted to go smaller and I felt the need to oblige.

Now I have one less excuse tho...

A moose hunt this coming weekend may yield some sinew if I am lucky. Unfortunately my bow may not make floor tiller for a while.

Looking good with those bows. Trux I no ******* is going to love that bow.

AKmud I have wore out at least on pair of boot in your neck. I hunted the Knik river valley a lot. Friday creek for sheep, and metal for moose. Heck my hunting partner came up missing in along the Knik on 2000, found my four wheeler but never found him. I would still love to hit friday creek for sheep agian. There were some full curls roaming up there.

Hey guys,
I found the best shipping tube last week. It's a piece of 4" triple wall drain pipe, Lowes and Home depot carry it. It's as light as cardboard tube and much stronger, and $8 for a 10' length makes it affordable. Plus it can be used for arrow storage after the bow arrives, I used a piece wrapped in camo denim for a side quiver.
I shipped my trade bow today, maybe we will see some photos of the bow in action this weekend.

It's kind of both. It is built like cardboard, couragated in the middle with a thin coating inside and out. I'll post a photo when I get home from work.

I went by Lowe's today but they didn't have it. They did have 3" and 4" thin wall PVC which I use for bow shiping tubes. I only ha a minute to look so didn't ask about the other. I'll go back when I have more time and ask.

I use the same stuff for shipping longbows- it is normally used as sewer drain pipe-it comes in both 3 and 4" an is rated at 2200lb crush strength.
