Camoman, this is cool. I followed along last year and was envious of everyone participating.

I agree that this is a good thread.  I think I added a hint about what I would like, but it doesn't matter.  As long as its made by one of you guys I'll love it.

I'm a leftie with a short 'um... draw. Other than that let'er rip, tater chip!

I use a bow to hunt whitetails, shoot in the back yard and I will take several shots at stumps while scouting on the lease.

Anyway, I'm so new at making bows anything'll impress me.

I'm more impressed with the people on this forum and what it stands for every day.

Thanks for letting me participate.
Stan  :p

ken that molly sounds awesome. im thinking of something similar for my pick. i have a 51" red oak that im workin on , and i was thinking about putting some hick on the back , and extending the hick about 6" on each end , taking it to 61". a lot easier to get a hunting weight and length that way...

Hey Ken that hic backed Ipe ought to get the job done for whatever a guy wanted to use it for.It sure would make a good whitetail bow. I hunt whitetai deer and hogs. Only bow I got is a used bear a man gave me It's a recurve.Anything pleases me.

Ken75 I am sure ************** will love what ever  you send their way.
Camoman sit back and just enjoy the show. You will learn alot from just reading all the treads that will be posted on the bows. Old hands show us how they do it, us new bowyers asking questions this is prime bowyers 101 here.

No, Ken, I appreciate what others do for me. I got my first traditional kill with the bear this year. It was a thrill. And to top that off My first Hog the same day. It's a lot different than a wheelie bow. I can only wait to score with one I made myself or a fellow trad bro. built. Happy building.
