Bow Swap Giveaway (winner drawn on page 3)
« on: January 17, 2011, 01:40:00 PM »
Well, since I won two giveaways last week and I also lost my storage space, and because lots of guys are building on a budget this year heres what ima do. I have a piece of osage here in the shop, a grest piece for a beginner. I know we have a bunch of beginner bow builders in this year. Some have made a board bow, some glass, anyway... I want to give a stave out to someone that has never worked osage before that is in this years bow swap. So if you have never made a bow from a stave, or never had an osage stave, post your name here and I will draw a name on friday and ship you one for free! Remember to post pics along the way, and don't worry you will have plent of help here.

Awesome! I haven't worked with any staves what so ever, and never worked with Osage either.  Please throw my name in the bag!

and kelly : i know what you mean. i went out for a week straight panning up here where there is no gold . the wife was ready to have me commited till i brought home a microscopic dust speck of gold. it was a crapton of work though...im sure this would be much more worth it.

That sounds great!  I've only played with board bows and lams to this point... I'd love to try a stave!  Put my name in pleeeez! (I'll pay the shipping if I win since I'm on the other side of the continent)

Thanks for doing this!

Tradgang folks are the best.

I would like to be added, since all I build is board bows right now.

Thanks

Ya mean this pix Dave? :)  That was many many moons ago. See how young I looked back then? :)  Did you see that on the Bowyers Journal Site?

David, please put me in. I've made a few board
bows. And even tried an osage billet bow (billets from 3 rivers.) I would trully love a shot at an osage stave.
The folks on this site continue to amaze me.
