Where is the Border shoot held? Is it up in Scotland? I think Andy (Tradtusker) will be around in June. If you can give me details on the shoot, I'll talk to him when he gets back from a hunt that he's on at the moment.

I know what you mean about clubs, I am not at all keen on joining normal clubs, but the NFAS is different. It only cost £5 for the year membership, then you have access to a list of 3d shoots thru out the year. The NFAS don't organize the shoots by themselves, different clubs around the UK offer a day or weekend to the NFAS and the club organises the shoot. Then, you look on their site, find a shoot you want to go to. Each shoot costs roughly £5 which is just to cover the costs of the shoot. I've been to a lot of these 3d shoots, and I think they are excellent! I don't think they are over priced and the NFAS are very helpful and not only about taking your money. The shoots are a lot of fun and really improve your shooting!

Blacktail is a beauty and a real shooter - great feel to the shot and a fast enough for me!!

Norm had some beauty Myrtle around when he did my veneers, they look so sweet, I will get some pics up in here for you shortly!!!

you will not go wrong with Norm, such a pleasure to deal with, real stand up guy doing good honest work - pretty work at that!!!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BOW!

Ended up going for Cocobolo footed with Bocote & Myrtle inlays,with Bocote back & Myrtle belly for the limbs, so looking forward to next year. It was a real pleasure dealing with Norm ,a very patient man, the number of times I changed my order, all Norm wanted was for me to get right wood combo

August 2nd - 10th 8 days shooting at 4 clubs (4 2 day shoots with overall comp included).

will be heading down there would be great to catch up with some of you.

Rob(tattoo) can u be tempted down south? - Leigh and the rest of us need a shoot up your way as an excuse to head up!!

Hey all, just thought i'd add myself to the list and bump this thread to see if we can pick up a few more UK'ers.

I'm in Devon by the way, on the lovely South Coast, ten minute walk from the sea.

Just finished my intro course for NFAS membership, so just a newby with lots of ambition, but having lots of fun learning stuff.

Currently shooting a 35# Martin X200, but have a 45# Martin Hunter to grow into.  I drawer to 30.5" so they're a little more than those weights.  I'm hoping to borrow some bow scales in a couple of weeks to see exactly what i am pulling with each.

Anyway, i've joined the BBA forum so will see some of ya on there, and hopefully will meet some Tradgangers at NFAS shoots along the way as well.
