Titebond and Phenolic?
« on: February 07, 2011, 09:34:00 PM »
I'm wanting to put a decorative phenolic layer in my next handle section but the only glue I have available at this time is TB III...  Will it work or do I have to go another route?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't trust TBIII on anything other than wood. I glued up a riser and used some glass as accent strips and it didn't hold long. Epoxy is what I use. You can order samll units of somooth-on from sponsors here.

I wouldn't try TiteBond on phenolic either. If it did stick it wouldn't be for long.
